What is the Latest Headlines Widget?

The Latest Headline Widget will bring breaking news, current articles and blogs from Wall Street & Technology and Advanced Trading right to your desktop. The widget automatically updates itself and you don't even need to open your browser to see all of the new headlines and descriptions.

How does it work?

The Latest Headline Widget sits right on your desktop and is built in Adobe Air. The most recent headlines are populated into the widget via an RSS feed. Not only can you view the headlines for each item, but you can also see a longer description of the item by clicking on the plus (+) sign next to the headline. If you want to read the entire article, simply click on the headline and your browser will go to the appropriate webpage on either Wall Street & Technology or Advanced Trading.

The widget was developed for Wall Street & Technology and Advanced Trading by QuickWaters, a provider of risk management solutions that allow financial services C-level executives to proactively monitor, understand and respond to true, fundamental enterprise risk.

What does Adobe's Unrestricted Access Warning mean?

This is a standard warning dialog for all Adobe Air applications. The Latest Headlines widget does not access any of your existing files and also does not write any files to your hard drive. It does leverage your connection to the internet to access the Latest Headlines news feed. To read more about this warning and response by Adobe, click here.
