An internal memo from Michael Bird, head of Broadcort and Global Commission Management at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, announced several senior management changes in the firm's Broadcort and Global Commission Management groups.

Bird said in the memo, "Since integrating Broadcort's institutional broker-dealer business into Global Execution Services last year, we have added an unprecedented number of new clients in a short amount of time and are working to grow one of the industry's premier institutional clearing organizations."

To support this, Tony Cetta has joined Broadcort as head of client services, risk management, control and client conversions. Cetta has more than 30 years of experience at Merrill Lynch.

Doug Gifford, head of risk management and control will now assume responsibility for client conversions as well. He will report to Cetta and ensure client on-boarding functions are coordinated across Broadcort and other groups within Global Markets.

Jim Chirdo will transition from client services to Relationship management while Tony Vella and John Thirpak will continue to lead sales and Daniel Stamler will continue to lead product, strategy, training and pricing.

Within Global Commission Management Bill O'Connor will head up the Americas sales efforts, reporting to Bird.
